Good News

On June 26, I will start working for Schlumberger. I'm so excited. I will be a Personnel Advisor for about 200 people in their Parisian offices. We have soo many decisions to make. At the moment, we are looking for apartments in Paris and that's proving to be an extremely difficult task. What we would really like to do is to buy an appt, but we have to wait at least three months before we can buy because of certain french laws! So we are trying to decide if it's worth it to just wait the three months until we buy something (that would mean living in Orleans and making the 1h30 minute trip everyday), or to move to Paris right away and move again once we buy our own place. The smart thing to do would be Option number 1 but I get goosebumps just thinking about it (3 hours of my life wasted in a train everyday). I shouldn't complain. Life could be worse. Thank God for my new job!!!

Vive le camping!

This weekend was supposed to be a quiet one. We had decided to just stay home and be a boring couple since we had been out every weekend for almost 2 months. We went to church in the morning. As we were driving back home, we suddenly didn't feel like staying home anymore. So, we got home, packed our stuff and left to a camping site 20 minutes away from where we live, close to Chateau de Chambord. Ghislain had never been there before and the one time I was there, it was rainy and cold (not exactly what you would call unforgettable moments). We had an amazing time and wonderful weather! We went biking, swimming, visited the Chateau, of course and spent some time working on our tan. It was simply perfect (for more pictures go to http://spaces.msn.com/wildstreaks. Tomorrow is a holiday AGAIN so we get to sleep in! I can’t complain. However, I sometimes really wonder how this country can function with so many holidays!!!!!! Time to eat... a plus tard

Do you recognize these famous faces?

Welcome to my blog! I hope this will be a better way to keep in touch with friends and family all over the world. As much as I would like to say that it's "our blog", Ghislain has clearly told me that he is not really fond of blogs, so don't really count on him blogging any time soon. Living in France is a lot fun. I get a kick out of the french way of doing things. I'm sure you will too. Well, it's getting pretty late and I have to go to church tomorrow.....Happy Sabbath to all.
